We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis, working in a hybrid capacity from Denmark, the United Kingdom, or Spain.
Key outcomes
- Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices using Kotlin.
- Collaborate across cross-functional domains to develop innovative technical solutions.
- Analyze and optimize system performance to ensure high levels of reliability.
- Conduct code reviews and participate in post-mortems to uphold engineering standards.
- Mentor fellow engineers and proactively address technical debt to guide the team through complex migrations.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with server-side development, specifically using Kotlin.
- Strong background in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud environments such as AWS and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in working with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like JUnit and observability tools such as Grafana.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale projects and manage technical ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Compensation
