At Truffle Security, we maintain the popular open source tool TruffleHog, which helps security researchers worldwide identify and disclose exposed API keys. We are a remote-first team dedicated to preventing data breaches and fostering a strong, inclusive community, and we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Scanner team.
Responsibilities
- Debug backend systems written in Golang to ensure optimal performance.
- Act as a product expert by analyzing logs and code to replicate and resolve technical issues for our customers.
- Oversee support cases from initial report through to final resolution, ensuring clear documentation and timely communication.
- Collaborate with our engineering team to identify bugs and implement effective fixes.
- Contribute to our technical knowledge base and help build new integrations that improve our product features.
- Serve as a customer advocate by working with our product team to prioritize frequent feature requests.
- Build trusted relationships with key technical and security leaders at our customer organizations.
Must-haves
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven experience working directly with customers to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ability to produce clear, professional documentation.
- Proficiency in Golang and the ability to contribute to code fixes.
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience performing live troubleshooting with customers.
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on experience working within a GCP environment.
Benefits
The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $140,000 per year.
