We are Archive, the leading technology platform for branded resale. Our platform helps more than 50 global brands, including The North Face, Diane von Furstenberg, and New Balance, create resale programs that keep products out of landfills. We are a Series A startup backed by Lightspeed and Bain Capital, recently named Fast Company’s #2 Most Innovative Company in Retail for 2024. We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join us on a Full Time, fully remote basis and help scale the systems that power sustainable commerce.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with front-end engineers to build and maintain core product features, including database administration, GraphQL action handlers, and integrations with platforms such as Shopify and Stripe.
- Design and implement data integration systems that connect brand information from varied APIs, platforms, and formats into a unified marketplace.
- Develop metrics, quality checks, and observability tools for production data pipelines to ensure reliable marketplace data.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and shipping performant, scalable services used by real customers.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, or TypeScript, along with hands-on experience writing SQL queries.
- Professional experience with a data orchestration framework such as Dagster, Airflow, or Luigi.
- Ability to manage complex data challenges and translate them into maintainable solutions within an existing framework.
- Self-directed approach to problem-solving and a commitment to both code quality and pragmatic delivery.
What we offer
The expected annual base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $225,000. In addition to base pay, eligible roles receive equity compensation. We support fully remote work, host company offsites twice a year, and maintain a hub office in New York for optional in-person collaboration.
