We are searching for a talented Backend Engineer to join our agile OB Services squad on a full-time basis. As part of DataOne, the open banking division of the ClearScore group, you will work within a startup-like environment that benefits from the stability and scale of a global organization. Our mission is to make lending faster and fairer by leveraging real-time data enrichment to empower financial decisions for millions of users across the UK. You will play a vital role in building and maintaining the pipelines that process open banking data for hundreds of thousands of accounts every day.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance our open banking connections and data enrichment pipelines to support high-volume daily traffic.
- Deploy production code that categorizes transactions in real-time, directly enabling critical use cases like affordability assessments and credit limit increases.
- Operate within a you build it, you run it framework, taking ownership of end-to-end solutions deployed on AWS.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should be a mid-level engineer who is comfortable working in a collaborative, data-driven environment. We look for the following technical qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in C# .NET development.
- Practical experience working with relational SQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Proven ability to work effectively within AWS cloud environments.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions for managing CI/CD pipelines.
