About the Role

We are searching for a Backend Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will be a vital part of our engineering organization, focusing on advancing our data engineering capabilities with a specific emphasis on business intelligence integration and sophisticated modeling. You will report directly to our Head of Engineering and play a key role in shaping the frameworks and processes that drive our platform forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement new features while collaborating closely with our leadership, product, and engineering teams.
• Lead data engineering projects to ensure our pipelines remain reliable, efficient, testable, and maintainable.
• Pioneer new initiatives by incorporating machine learning algorithms to enhance the sorting capabilities of our search results.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, we look for the following qualifications:

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and PostgreSQL or similar technologies.
• Experience working with data warehouses like BigQuery and other GCP components.
• A solid background in advanced modeling and a passion for building machine learning systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to document findings and collaborate effectively across teams.
