What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a product-focused role where you will work on our core authentication platform. You will be part of a nimble, collaborative team, working directly with customers to define and execute features that help builders launch and scale their own businesses.

What will you do?

• Shape our authentication experience by building and evolving the core product, directly influencing how thousands of development teams manage their users every day.
• Design and implement new features, ranging from advanced OAuth and session management to audit logs and observability tools, ensuring developers can manage their users at scale.
• Improve usability and workflows by partnering with our design and product teams to streamline the efficiency and clarity of our authentication platform.

What makes you a great fit?

You are a product-minded engineer who is comfortable writing idiomatic Golang code. While this is a backend-oriented role, familiarity with a modern frontend stack like React and TypeScript is highly valued. Our architecture relies on GCP and Cloudflare, so experience in these environments is a plus. You should be comfortable with event-driven architectures, Pub/Sub patterns, and tackling system design and performance challenges. Most importantly, you are passionate about building for other engineers, you set a high bar for code quality, and you are comfortable communicating in English within a distributed team.
