Backend Engineer at Bolt Technology

Key outcomes

• Architect, design, develop, and deploy our expanding backend infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product teams to refine our development roadmap and deliver features incrementally.
• Lead technical initiatives from the initial concept phase through to successful execution.

• Mentor colleagues by sharing knowledge through tech talks and promoting engineering best practices across the organization.

Requirements

• Strong experience in microservice architecture, API design, and managing distributed, high-volume systems.
• Proven ability to write clean, secure, and maintainable code that is both readable and testable.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as working with relational databases.
• A data-driven mindset with the ability to make metric-based decisions.
• A collaborative spirit with empathy for end-users and a drive to work in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with real-time, asynchronous systems.
• Experience with highly available infrastructure.
