What you bring

We are seeking a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. You will report to our Back-End Engineering Team Lead and play a vital role in developing the platform used by major financial institutions across Australia. Your work will focus on the following key areas:

• Designing and maintaining high-throughput, fault-tolerant microservices.
• Building and optimizing RESTful and gRPC APIs to ensure top-tier performance.
• Implementing efficient data models and query optimizations within PostgreSQL.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in Golang and experience contributing to production-grade microservices. We value candidates who are curious problem solvers with an open-minded approach to technical challenges. You must be proficient in English to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is essential, as you will collaborate closely with our DevOps team. We look for individuals who are adaptable, thrive in changing environments, and are committed to maintaining high standards of code quality through testing and peer reviews.
