Backend Engineer at LayerZero Labs

What you'll be doing

• You will design and maintain robust, scalable backend systems that serve as the foundation for our web3 technologies.
• You will take ownership of complex distributed systems, ensuring they can reliably handle massive transactional volumes.
• You will collaborate in a fast-paced environment to solve challenging technical problems and push the boundaries of blockchain interoperability.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong foundation in engineering and a desire to innovate within the blockchain space. We value your ability to solve problems over your familiarity with specific tools, though we do look for certain technical proficiencies:

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and experience building complex backend architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS for deploying, managing, and scaling applications.
• Experience working with workflow engines.
• Strong communication skills in English, allowing you to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• A background in smart contracts, decentralized finance, or general blockchain development is considered a significant advantage.

What you'll get

We offer a base salary ranging from $120,000 to $200,000 per year. Your final compensation will be determined by your specific skills, experience, and knowledge. As a total compensation company, we provide a comprehensive package that may include equity and other forms of incentive pay, alongside a full range of medical and financial benefits.
