We are currently looking for talented engineers to join our remote-friendly team and help us build the next generation of metering infrastructure.

About the Role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. This is a mid-level role where you will focus on developing, testing, and deploying improvements to our infrastructure to ensure it remains performant, cost-effective, and highly scalable. You will have the opportunity to build new platform features while working directly with a team that has deep roots in cloud-native development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement new microservices using AWS Lambda.
• Manage the processing of large data sets and contribute to our suite of SDKs.
• Develop public-facing REST APIs and use observability tools to troubleshoot production environments.

Requirements

We are looking for a self-starter who is passionate about cloud-native architecture and high-quality code. To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• At least 3 years of professional experience building microservices with Java or NodeJS.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including S3, SQS, RDS, and DynamoDB.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and designing robust data pipelines for time-series data.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor team members and provide constructive feedback.
• A solid understanding of metering services and their role in usage-based billing infrastructure.

Location

This position is remote and can be performed from anywhere.
