About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer, Security to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will work closely with our Coalition Incident Response team to refine, maintain, and develop the tools and capabilities they use to provide digital forensic and incident response services. You will be instrumental in building the infrastructure and automation that helps our team deliver effective support to clients during critical security events.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic partner to our Product Management and Incident Response teams to identify and implement meaningful process and tooling improvements.
- Execute technical plans by enhancing existing systems, developing new features, and integrating the various services our team relies on daily.
- Ensure the overall reliability and performance of the systems used by our incident response professionals.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a passion for solving complex security challenges. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language and experience with scripting.
- Practical knowledge of PowerShell and Windows OS fundamentals.
- Experience with the Unix command line, including tools like bash, grep, and awk.
- A solid understanding of Cloud provider ecosystems and their services.
- Strong DevOps fundamentals, specifically regarding infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation, such as Terraform or Ansible.
- A firm grasp of internet technologies and architecture design.
- Strong research and organizational skills, as this role often requires discovering and defining new requirements.
