Role at a glance

We are seeking a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join our Partner Distribution team. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Budapest. You will play a critical role in designing and supporting the APIs that power our global integrations, ensuring they remain highly available and performant for our massive user base.

Your impact

• Take full ownership of the systems your team develops, handling everything from initial design and coding to testing, deployment, and ongoing operations.
• Build and maintain generic, customer-facing APIs that drive our integrations while strictly adhering to regional security and privacy standards.
• Collaborate with a global team to solve complex engineering challenges, ensuring our services are both scalable and low-latency.

What you'll need

• A degree in a relevant field and 2 to 3+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Strong familiarity with data storage and processing systems like PostgreSQL, Amazon DynamoDB, and Apache Kafka.
• Experience with *nix environments and a solid grasp of HTTP best practices.
• An interest in functional programming and a desire to work with strongly typed languages.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively across remote teams.
• Bonus points if you have hands-on experience with Scala, AWS, Kubernetes, Protobuf, and SQL.
