Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Mobility team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in Germany, where you will play a pivotal role in scaling our business and bringing our remote driving technology directly to our customers.
Your impact
- Design and build robust Golang-based backend services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure while maintaining high standards for CI/CD and automation.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to define requirements and steer project planning for our core mobility features.
- Drive cross-team platform initiatives by developing shared tools, libraries, and practices that improve our overall engineering quality and monitoring.
What you'll need
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
- Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
- Proven experience building backend services and APIs, ideally using Golang.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Practical experience with PostgreSQL and DevOps practices like infrastructure as code and system monitoring.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Bonus points for experience with NodeJS, gRPC, AWS, or Terraform, as well as domain knowledge in logistics or mobility.
