Backend Engineer, Group Security at Vinted

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Group Security team on a full-time basis. This role is central to our Cyber Risk and Access Management efforts, where you will focus on building robust, scalable systems that safeguard our infrastructure, devices, and workforce. You will be instrumental in evolving our internal security services, ensuring that our identity and device management solutions remain both highly secure and easy for our employees to use.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain critical security infrastructure, including Workforce Identity and Access Management and Device Security systems.
• Create automated features and tools that enhance our security posture, such as refining Device Trust controls and onboarding internal applications to our identity solutions.
• Ensure the long-term reliability and performance of our services by managing observability, patching vulnerabilities, and collaborating with SRE and backend teams.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in backend development and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We look for the following qualifications:

• Professional experience with at least one backend language, such as Python, Go, Ruby, or Scala.
• Practical knowledge of datastores like Redis or MySQL.
• Experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus or Grafana.
• Familiarity with data processing tools like Kafka and container orchestration via Kubernetes.
• An interest in or existing knowledge of Identity and Access Management protocols and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• A self-sufficient mindset with a commitment to continuous professional development.

Location

This position is based in Lithuania and follows a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility between home and office environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The gross monthly salary for this position ranges from €43,000 to €81,000 annually. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive package to support your well-being and professional growth:
