The role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our team in Helsinki on a full-time, on-site basis. In this position, you will take ownership of critical backend services for GuitarTuna, the world's leading instrument tuning product. You will have a direct influence on the experience of over 20 million users, playing a key role in the entire development lifecycle from initial prototyping to final feature release.
Core responsibilities
- Design and build robust, maintainable features that enhance our platform functionality.
- Ensure high code quality by writing comprehensive, well-documented tests using frameworks like Pytest.
- Drive the product roadmap by participating in feature planning and troubleshooting issues to maintain a seamless user experience.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in backend engineering and a passion for scalable technology. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Extensive experience in backend development using Python 3.
- Proficiency with frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI.
- Practical knowledge of REST API development and working with MongoDB or SQL databases.
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure and deploying scalable applications.
- A solid foundation in Unit Testing practices.
