The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our team in India on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our technical infrastructure, helping us build and maintain the systems that power our data-driven insights. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with a diverse group of engineers to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality solutions that support our global mission.
A day in the life
- You will design and develop robust, efficient APIs while working closely with frontend developers to ensure our services meet both internal and customer requirements.
- You will manage and optimize scalable distributed systems within the AWS cloud environment to ensure peak performance.
- You will write comprehensive unit and integration tests while developing automation tools to streamline our daily development tasks.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer with a strong foundation in computer science and a passion for building scalable backend systems. We are looking for someone who brings the following experience and skills:
- At least 8 years of total software development experience, including 5 to 7 years specifically in Java backend development.
- At least 5 years of professional experience working with Scala.
- Proficiency in working with AWS, SQL databases, and both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders and project managers clearly.
- A collaborative mindset and a proven ability to solve complex problems efficiently.
- Fluency in English.
