The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be at the heart of our mission to enable commerce through technology. You will work within a dynamic, international environment where we prioritize clean code, craftsmanship, and a customer-first mindset. This is a hybrid role based in Turkey, designed for someone who wants to tackle complex architectural challenges while contributing to a platform that reaches millions of users across 27 countries.

A day in the life

• You will write code for new features and enhance our existing platform to ensure it remains scalable and provides a seamless experience for our users.
• You will actively participate in team planning, task estimation, code reviews, and pair programming sessions to maintain high standards of quality.
• You will focus on continuous improvement by learning new technologies, acquiring fresh skills, and sharing knowledge with your teammates.

Who you are

You are a humble and agile team player who is always eager to learn. You have a solid command of written and spoken English and bring the following experience to the table:

• At least 5 years of professional experience with one of the following languages: Java, Go, C#, Scala, Kotlin, or Node.js.
• Practical knowledge of OOP, Design Patterns, Clean Code, refactoring, and unit testing.
• Experience working with relational or non-relational databases like PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or Couchbase.
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience in building RESTful services, managing build pipelines, and implementing continuous delivery.
• A preference for distributed architecture, fault tolerance, and loose coupling.
