At Recruitee, we build innovative SaaS recruitment software designed to help organizations improve their hiring processes. Our mission is to make high-quality hiring accessible to everyone. We have grown from humble beginnings into a global organization with over 4,500 customers. Our team is now 180 people strong, representing 25 different nationalities across our offices in Amsterdam, Poznan, Wroclaw, and New York. As we continue to scale our product and address new challenges in our codebase, we are looking for a junior backend developer to join our engineering team.
Key outcomes
- Develop and maintain scalable backend systems within our Core, Foundation, or Careers teams.
- Transition your existing backend expertise into Elixir, which serves as the primary technology for our main API.
- Collaborate on a microservices architecture that utilizes the Phoenix framework and OTP.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of our services built with Ruby on Rails and Python.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and error-free code across all projects.
Requirements
- A strong desire to master Elixir programming, even if your background is in languages like Ruby on Rails, Python, Golang, PHP, or Java.
- Proven experience in building and supporting scalable software applications.
- A solid understanding of database management, with a preference for PostgreSQL.
- Working knowledge of Elasticsearch.
- Proficiency in Polish for daily team communication, alongside an intermediate level of English for documentation and cross-office collaboration.
- A commitment to writing clean, high-quality, and maintainable code.
