As we work to disrupt the Italian energy market and reach one million accounts by 2025, we are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in Italy, where you will help us tackle complex technical challenges and contribute to a more sustainable future for the planet.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust domain models to navigate the complexities of the energy industry, ensuring high attention to detail in all your work.
- Build and maintain scalable systems capable of processing millions of daily smart meter readings while integrating data into our machine learning pipelines.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to drive innovation in the Italian energy sector, moving away from outdated processes toward smarter, more dynamic technology.
Requirements
We are seeking a diligent and curious problem-solver who is eager to learn and grow with our team. You should have a strong background in software engineering and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, autonomous environment. We require professional proficiency in both English and Italian.
Your technical toolkit should include:
- Extensive experience with Python and Django or similar web frameworks.
- Deep understanding of HTTP and REST APIs.
- Experience with Celery for asynchronous processing and Postgres for database management.
- A proven ability to write robust, fault-tolerant software.
- Bonus points if you have experience with AWS and infrastructure tools like Terraform, Packer, or Consul.
