Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our tight-knit team in Istanbul. This is a full-time position that operates on a hybrid basis. You will have the freedom to work with flexibility, balancing asynchronous tasks with the occasional sync-up to ensure we stay aligned on our goals.
Your impact
- Design, build, and deploy the robust back-end services that serve as the engine for our front-end applications.
- Refine and iterate on our existing services to boost security, scalability, and overall performance.
- Take ownership of our technical growth by documenting architectural decisions as they evolve.
What you'll need
We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking full ownership of problems from start to finish. You should be fluent in English and have a strong background in building back-end web applications, particularly within a microservices architecture. Your technical toolkit should include:
- Proficiency with Node.js, Express, and NestJS.
- Experience managing databases and message brokers like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka.
- Familiarity with gRPC for service communication.
- Experience with training or deploying ML models is a significant plus.
- A proactive mindset toward tracking your own progress and reporting on your achievements and challenges on a weekly basis.
