Key outcomes

• Solve complex domain modeling challenges within the intricate and often outdated energy market.
• Build robust, fault-tolerant software capable of processing millions of smart meter readings daily.
• Develop systems that integrate seamlessly with machine learning pipelines to model and predict energy consumption.
• Contribute to the disruption of the Italian energy landscape by supporting the transition toward smarter, more dynamic, and renewable-focused generation.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of approximately 100 engineers to maintain high-quality code and support our continuous delivery pipeline.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Python and Django or similar web frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in HTTP and REST APIs.
• Demonstrable skill in domain modeling and writing resilient, fault-tolerant software.
• Experience with Celery for asynchronous processing and Postgres databases.
• Professional fluency in both English and Italian.
• A curious, self-driven mindset with a passion for learning new technologies and solving difficult problems.

Preferred qualifications

• Practical experience working with AWS.
• Familiarity with infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Packer, or Consul.
• Front-end development experience using React and Redux.
• Prior knowledge of the energy industry, specifically regarding the Sistema Informativo Integrato (SII) or energy and gas distributor portals.
