We are Zoomprop, a data-driven platform transforming how institutional investors and brokerages approach real estate. Think of us as the Bloomberg Terminal for the property market. Our leadership team has a history of building successful startups, securing over $300 million in funding, and achieving multiple acquisitions and an IPO. We are currently searching for a Senior Backend Developer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis in the United States. You will play a crucial role in building the infrastructure that powers our investment insights.
Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain robust, scalable backend systems and secure RESTful APIs that connect with our databases and external services.
- Manage our AWS infrastructure, including the deployment and monitoring of serverless functions using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
- Collaborate directly with our C-level executives and frontend team to ensure our backend architecture perfectly supports the needs of our users.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience focusing on backend development, specifically with Python, Postgres, and AWS services.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, database design, and core software principles like data structures and object-oriented programming.
- Proven ability to write clean, modular code and a strong grasp of API design best practices.
- Experience with data pipelining, web scraping, and familiarity with modern tools like Docker or Kubernetes is highly valued.
