Finom is a European technology company headquartered in Amsterdam that is building an all-in-one financial platform for small and medium-sized businesses. The platform combines banking, accounting, invoicing, and financial management in a single mobile-first solution. In just two years the company has raised $105 million from investors including General Catalyst and now operates across more than ten EU countries, with particularly strong traction in Germany and France. We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to help scale the services that power this rapidly growing product.

- Design, build, and maintain microservices that deliver secure and reliable financial functionality to entrepreneurs across Europe.
- Make architectural decisions that keep our platform performant, scalable, and aligned with both product goals and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously improve system reliability and throughput while introducing enhancements that directly support business growth.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into maintainable, well-tested code.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional backend development experience using C# and .NET Core.
- Strong command of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and microservice architecture.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ or Kafka, and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work remotely from any location, with employment arranged according to local regulations in Cyprus, Spain, or Poland.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with automated testing practices, including unit and integration tests.
