The role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Architect to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on, hybrid position based in India where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical landscape. You will be responsible for high-level architecture and design, providing technical mentorship, and ensuring our systems remain scalable and robust as we grow.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and high-level design for complex problem statements, ensuring all non-functional requirements are met for your services.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, testing teams, and developers to translate business needs into effective target architectures.
• Drive engineering excellence by conducting design and code reviews, mentoring team members, and championing the adoption of cutting-edge tools and best practices.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in building large-scale applications and a passion for strategic technical thinking. We value candidates who have a track record of successfully launching products from start to finish.

• At least 8 years of professional experience in software architecture and system design.
• Deep expertise in microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convert abstract ideas into tangible, scalable solutions.
• Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, and PostgreSQL is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and experience with technical certifications is considered a plus.
