We are currently looking for a Back Office Software Developer to join our team on a full-time basis in the United Kingdom. Our organization, the DV Group, has spent over 15 years establishing itself in the financial services sector. Since becoming an independent proprietary trading firm in 2016, we have expanded to over 450 employees. We now operate across North America and Europe, managing a diverse portfolio that includes two broker-dealers, a cryptocurrency market-making firm, and an investment adviser. In this role, you will work within a small, focused team to manage the development and daily operations of the back-office systems that support our traders, risk management, and accounting departments.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, traders, and accounting staff to manage both real-time and batch data processing.
- Create daily reports for our firm and traders by analyzing data from overnight operations.
- Develop and maintain database schemas to streamline our data processing workflows.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least two years of professional experience in developing software for data processing.
- Proven ability to write Python code, ideally within a Linux environment.
- Solid experience with SQL and the design of database schemas.
- Proficiency in C# and C++ on Linux is considered a significant advantage.
- Strong command of the English language for both verbal and written communication.
- Familiarity with trading domains, such as equities, options, futures, treasuries, or crypto, is a plus.
