We are FundApps, a bootstrapped RegTech scaleup on a mission to simplify complex financial compliance for the world’s largest investment managers. Our platform monitors over US$19 trillion in assets, and we are looking for a talented engineer to join our team of 50 smart, collaborative people. If you want to build software that has a genuine, real-world impact and work in an environment that values professionalism, sustainability, and mutual respect, we would love to meet you.
Role at a glance
We are seeking a Mid-Level Back End Software Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in the United Kingdom. You will be expected to work from our London office three days per week during your probation period to integrate with the team and get to know our business.
Your impact
- Take full ownership of technical projects, from initial concept to final deployment, while tackling ambiguous challenges with a pragmatic mindset.
- Advocate for platform improvements and lead the delivery of new technical solutions that support our ambitious growth and product roadmap.
- Share your knowledge and best practices with the wider engineering department, acting as a mentor to help your colleagues succeed.
What you'll need
To thrive in this role, you should be a passionate developer who cares deeply about clean code, automated testing, and continuous deployment. We value team players who prioritize collective success over individual output.
- Proven experience in back-end development, specifically with C#, or a strong desire to learn it if you have relevant experience in another language.
- A solid understanding of cloud-native architectures and software design patterns.
- Familiarity with our core tech stack, including PostgreSQL, AWS (Fargate, Lambda, S3), Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
- Experience working with TypeScript and React is highly beneficial.
- The legal right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
- Fluency in English.
Perks and compensation
We are committed to supporting our team both professionally and personally. You can look forward to the following benefits:
- Hybrid work environment with flexible hours to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
- A dedicated learning budget of £1,000 per year, plus unlimited professional development leave.
- Generous paid time off, starting at 25 days of holiday, with additional days awarded for tenure.
- Comprehensive support for your growth and well-being as a valued member of our team.
