The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Back End Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our innovative product suite, helping us tackle complex, ambiguous problems. You will own projects from start to finish, advocate for architectural improvements, and help us scale as we launch new products. This is a hybrid role based in the United Kingdom, where you will have the chance to influence our technical direction while working with a modern stack including C#, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
A day in the life
- You will design and implement high-quality, cloud-native solutions, ensuring our platform remains robust and scalable as we grow our market share.
- You will collaborate with your team to slice complex tasks into manageable stories, maintaining a consistent delivery cadence while modeling best practices like automated testing and clean code.
- You will act as a technical mentor and advocate, sharing your knowledge of system architectures and software patterns to help your colleagues succeed and improve our collective output.
Who you are
You are a pragmatic engineer who values team success over individual recognition. You have a deep passion for back-end development and are comfortable working with C#, or you are an experienced developer in another language with a strong desire to learn it. You have a solid grasp of PostgreSQL, AWS, and infrastructure tools like Terraform. You are an effective communicator who values transparency, and you possess the business acumen to understand the real-world impact of the technical solutions you build.
