At Mosey, we simplify employment compliance so that growing companies can hire and operate anywhere without the usual administrative headaches. Navigating the complex web of HR, tax, and legal requirements across different states and municipalities is a significant challenge, and we are dedicated to removing those barriers. We are currently looking for a Senior Back End Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis to help us build the infrastructure that makes global hiring possible.

Responsibilities

Develop robust tools and automation that empower our users to manage their employment compliance needs effectively.
Design and implement new features from the ground up while building out API endpoints to support our applications and partners.
Collaborate directly with our founders to create prototypes and MVPs while establishing foundational engineering and continuous integration workflows.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
Deep technical expertise in Python, Postgres, SQLAlchemy, fastAPI, and Mypy.
A strong background in startup environments or a proven track record of leading projects from inception to completion.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to think critically when solving complex, novel problems.
A passion for building systems from scratch and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.

What we offer

We provide a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $195,000, complemented by equity compensation. Our benefits package is designed to support your well-being and includes:
