Navigating the complex web of HR, tax, and legal requirements across different states and municipalities is a significant challenge, and we are dedicated to removing those barriers. We are currently looking for a Senior Back End Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis to help us build the infrastructure that makes global hiring possible.
Responsibilities
- Develop robust tools and automation that empower our users to manage their employment compliance needs effectively.
- Design and implement new features from the ground up while building out API endpoints to support our applications and partners.
- Collaborate directly with our founders to create prototypes and MVPs while establishing foundational engineering and continuous integration workflows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Deep technical expertise in Python, Postgres, SQLAlchemy, fastAPI, and Mypy.
- A strong background in startup environments or a proven track record of leading projects from inception to completion.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to think critically when solving complex, novel problems.
- A passion for building systems from scratch and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
What we offer
