What you bring

We are looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer to join us on a Full Time basis. You will design and maintain backend APIs, migrate and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP or Azure, and automate deployments with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform. You will also optimise cloud resources for cost and performance while implementing strong security practices. The role is based on-site in Belgium and touches on Product, Cloud Platforms, Software Engineering, TypeScript, JavaScript, .NET, Java, Kotlin, Docker, Kubernetes, OAuth and related technologies.

• Design, develop and maintain secure, high-performance backend APIs.
• Migrate and manage cloud infrastructure while automating deployments with Terraform and similar tools.
• Continuously optimise cloud resources and troubleshoot complex backend issues.

Requirements

You bring solid experience with at least one of TypeScript, JavaScript, .NET, Java or Kotlin, and you have already worked extensively with AWS, GCP or Azure. Containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes, authentication standards such as OAuth, and a good grasp of relational and document databases are second nature to you. You understand messaging systems, follow OWASP security guidelines, practise DevOps and quality-engineering methods, and you communicate clearly with colleagues. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, paired with a genuine passion for scalable and secure software, will set you up for success.
