The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Back End Engineer to join our dedicated team on a full-time, on-site basis. You will serve as a foundational member of our engineering group, working closely with our Full-Stack Engineering Lead to design and implement the infrastructure that powers our platform. This role is perfect for someone who wants to apply their technical expertise to solve real-world problems in healthcare, ensuring our services are robust, secure, and capable of supporting our growing community of providers and families.

A day in the life

• You will architect and build scalable, distributed back-end services using modern frameworks and languages like Python or Java.
• You will collaborate with our front-end engineers to design and maintain high-performance APIs that keep our platform running smoothly.
• You will manage our data architecture by developing and maintaining both relational and NoSQL databases while ensuring all user data remains secure and protected.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with at least 5 years of experience in back-end development. You have a deep understanding of server-side programming and are comfortable working within cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure. You value clean, maintainable code and have a knack for solving complex problems. While your primary focus is the back end, you possess strong communication skills and an interest in collaborating across the full stack. Proficiency in English is required, and you should be someone who is passionate about using technology to drive health equity.
