Back-end Engineer at Blocknative

At Blocknative, we are on a mission to democratize access to pre-chain data. Since our founding in 2018, we have built a transaction observability platform that provides deep insights into blockchain activity, helping to improve web3 user experiences and enable MEV value recirculation. We are proud to support industry leaders like the Ethereum Foundation, Polygon Foundation, MetaMask, and Lido as they navigate the complexities of decentralized networks.

The role

We are looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. You will play a vital role in our engineering organization, working directly alongside our CTO and product managers to design, build, and deploy innovative solutions that expand the capabilities of blockchain infrastructure. Core responsibilities

• Serve as a primary technical contributor by architecting and developing our core products while collaborating across the organization to meet our strategic objectives.
• Build deep internal expertise in the detection, processing, and analytics of blockchain transactions.
• Design, implement, and rigorously test backend systems for transaction notifications and complex data pipelines.

Skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you should have at least three years of engineering experience and a strong grasp of the following:

• Proficiency with Ethereum and EVM core concepts.
• Experience with at least one of these languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Golang, Rust, Python, or SQL.
• Practical knowledge of NodeJS and asynchronous programming techniques.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and stream processing tools like Redis, Kafka, or fluentd.
• A proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, from individual contributors up to executive leadership.
