Back-End Engineer at Remofirst

Remofirst is on a mission to remove geographical barriers for global talent, providing a comprehensive platform that helps companies like Microsoft and Mastercard manage their international teams. We are a rapidly growing, 90-person company looking for a talented Back-End Engineer to help us scale our services and build a world-class product from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain server-side logic and APIs using Python and frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Design efficient data storage solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Work alongside front-end developers to integrate user-facing features with our backend systems.
• Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Perform rigorous testing and debugging to ensure high-quality code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate project requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide mentorship and technical support to junior team members.

Must-haves

• At least 2 years of professional experience in a backend development role.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database management.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaborative workflows.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, HTTP protocols, and web security best practices.
• Experience with deployment processes and server-side configuration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with asynchronous programming libraries like asyncio or Tornado.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
