We are currently looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity from anywhere in the world.
Key outcomes
- Develop and enhance features for the web version of PDF Expert.
- Design and integrate AI-driven solutions to automate workflows and improve the user experience.
- Produce high-quality, maintainable, and production-ready code that meets our team standards.
- Maintain a stable codebase and ensure it is always ready for deployment.
- Optimize web applications for performance and usability.
- Contribute to significant decisions regarding our system architecture and infrastructure.
- Maintain open communication with product teams regarding development timelines, security, and code quality.
- Propose creative solutions to improve our development practices and overall product value.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Python 3.x and modern development best practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of async programming and concurrency.
- Practical experience with performance tuning, debugging, and profiling.
- Proven ability to conduct load testing and optimize system performance.
- Strong proficiency in SQLAlchemy and MySQL, including query optimization.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes, including Pods, Deployments, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.
- Experience using Docker for containerization and orchestration.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working with AWS services such as SQS and RDS.
- Familiarity with AI and LLM frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Knowledge of vector databases and retrieval mechanisms.
- Experience integrating OpenAI APIs and building LLM-based applications.
- Understanding of retrieval-augmented generation and prompt engineering.
