About the Role
We are looking for a Back-end Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the development of our robust, state-of-the-art SaaS platform. You will work within an autonomous, cross-functional team to design and implement scalable services that empower industries like manufacturing and energy to make data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable APIs and services to solve complex industrial data challenges.
- Build and maintain high-performance solutions within a distributed systems architecture.
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to shape the technical and product direction of our platform.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a collaborative spirit. While we value diverse backgrounds, the following qualifications are important for success in this role:
- At least 2 years of professional experience in back-end software engineering.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a natural science field, such as Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in cloud development, including experience with Kubernetes or infrastructure-as-code.
- Familiarity with modern database solutions like PostgreSQL or Spanner.
- Experience with Java, Scala, or Kotlin, and a willingness to learn new languages as needed.
- Hands-on experience with ETL frameworks, particularly Apache Spark, is considered a significant advantage.
- A commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and a passion for mentoring team members.
Location
This position is based in Norway and operates on a hybrid work model.
