We are looking for a Mid-Level Back End Engineer to join our Growth Engineering team, where you will help build features that drive user acquisition and revenue for Pendo. Founded in 2013 by former product managers, Pendo is dedicated to improving society's experience with software, and you will play a key role in developing our free and trial bundles, as well as cutting-edge AI initiatives like our RAG-based chatbot.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, maintainable code to meet our feature delivery goals.
- Deepen your technical knowledge of our existing codebase and domain.
- Engage actively in scrum ceremonies and team collaboration.
- Take ownership of projects by breaking down complex tasks with input from your peers.
- Manage competing priorities while demonstrating a commitment to continuous personal and professional growth.
Must-haves
- At least 2 years of experience with compiled programming languages, specifically Go or Python.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs.
- Proficiency with modern collaboration tools including Git, NPM, and GitHub.
- Proven ability to write testable code.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Experience working in a highly collaborative environment, including performing code reviews and providing technical feedback.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with rapid iteration cycles, including the experiment, build, and iterate mindset.
- A track record of collaborating effectively across Product, Marketing, Revenue, and Engineering departments.
Benefits
