Azure Solution Architect at SEP

SEP is a software product design and development firm based in Westfield, Indiana, that helps clients transform their ideas into reality. Since our founding in 1988, we have grown into one of the state's largest software development companies, with a dedicated team of 160 employee-owners. We serve a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 100 corporations to emerging scale-up companies, across industries including life sciences, aerospace, finance, and heavy machinery. We are currently looking for a Senior Azure Solution Architect to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will act as a key technical partner to our clients, helping them navigate complex challenges and defining the architectural strategies that drive their success.

Key outcomes

• Lead technical discovery and architectural planning for both new and existing software systems.
• Provide expert guidance during sales meetings and build lasting trust with client stakeholders, including executive leadership.
• Create architectural prototypes to validate potential solutions before full-scale development.
• Mentor and support software engineers to deepen the technical capacity of our teams.
• Present and defend your architectural recommendations to both technical and business-focused audiences.
• Maintain project momentum through proactive problem solving and clear communication.
• Stay current with the evolving Azure ecosystem to ensure our solutions utilize the most effective tools available.
• Travel occasionally to meet with clients and ensure project alignment.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of professional experience working with mainstream development technologies.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience specifically in Azure environments.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in system architecture.
• Proven ability to interact with clients in a technical capacity during sales and discovery discussions.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for software development and continuous learning.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
• The ability to work on-site at our office in Westfield, Indiana.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience developing strategies for system integration, such as with Salesforce or Dynamics 365.
• Background in team or organizational leadership.
• Experience presenting at conferences or communicating with C-suite executives.
• Possession of the Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
