AV Technician at The Florida Panthers

What is this role?

We are looking for a Mid-Level AV Technician to join our IT department on a part-time basis. This is an on-site role based at the Amerant Bank Arena. You will report to our Lead AV Technician and provide essential technical support for our hockey games, concerts, and various venue events. Because we operate in a fast-paced live environment, you must be comfortable working a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

What will you do?

• Manage the setup and breakdown of audio and video equipment for a variety of events, including hockey games, concerts, and press conferences.
• Operate and maintain complex technical systems, such as wireless microphones, hockey scoring systems, and game-day camera setups.
• Provide technical support for major partners like the NHL, ESPN, and Bally’s, while helping to coordinate and train other part-time staff members.

What makes you a great fit?

You should have a strong grasp of audio signal flow and experience with sound system configurations. We value candidates who excel at cable management and have practical experience using tools, lifts, and mounting hardware for installations. It is important that you can read blueprints and follow setup instructions with high accuracy. While not required, familiarity with Dante, Crestron, or Q-SYS systems is a significant plus. You should be proficient in English and ready to contribute to a collaborative, inclusive environment.
