AV Support Engineer at WPP

The role

We are looking for a proactive AV Support Engineer to join our IT team on a full-time, on-site basis in Germany. This is a mid-level position focused on the operational success of our audio-visual infrastructure. You will play a vital role in our global technology evolution, ensuring that our meeting rooms and event spaces function perfectly to support the creative work of our agencies.

Core responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for meeting room AV support, ensuring all hardware and software systems operate reliably.
• Provide hands-on assistance for internal and external events, including the setup and troubleshooting of video conferencing, projectors, and audio equipment.
• Manage equipment inventory and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize the user experience.

Skills and experience

• Proven expertise with AV systems, specifically video conferencing platforms like Microsoft Teams and various control systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of networking and event hardware, paired with the ability to diagnose issues quickly under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-service mindset, capable of guiding non-technical users through equipment operation.
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience, with certifications such as CTS or CTS-I being highly valued.
• Flexibility to support events outside of standard business hours when necessary, with compensatory time provided.
