The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Autonomy Test Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. In this role, you will be the primary guardian of our FoxBot product quality, specifically focusing on the autonomy systems that drive our machines. This is a high-impact position where you will take ownership of complex challenges from your very first day, ensuring that our robots perform reliably and safely in real-world settings.

A day in the life

• You will partner with our autonomy engineers to verify that system capabilities align with our performance benchmarks and product requirements.
• You will design, build, and execute comprehensive test suites in both real-world and simulated environments to push our technology to its limits.
• You will investigate and debug performance issues by analyzing logs, identifying root causes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement permanent solutions.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with a passion for robotics and a history of taking personal ownership over difficult technical problems. You thrive in fast-paced environments and possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, robotics, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluency in C++ and Python, along with deep experience in Linux and git environments.
• Proven expertise in testing complex systems, including experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to travel to customer locations to troubleshoot and solve problems on-site.
• A proactive mindset, especially regarding the ability to navigate large codebases and adapt to the needs of a scaling startup.
• Proficiency in English.
