At ISEE, we are at the forefront of transforming logistics through our innovative Autonomous Yard Trucks. We are currently looking for a seasoned Autonomous Vehicle Operations Specialist to serve as a Shift Lead within our Deployment and Operations Launch teams. In this role, you will be instrumental in bringing our advanced hardware and software technology to life in customer yards across the United States. You will act as a primary point of contact for our systems, ensuring that our autonomous fleet operates safely and efficiently while providing critical feedback to our development teams.
Key outcomes
- Maintain real-time oversight of our Autonomous Yard Trucks during active operations.
- Deliver hands-on technical troubleshooting for both hardware and software challenges on our prototype vehicles.
- Analyze system logs to investigate disengagements and failures.
- Systematically isolate, track, and document technical issues to ensure they are resolved effectively.
- Refine our diagnostic trees and internal knowledge base to improve future troubleshooting workflows.
- Represent ISEE as a professional ambassador when interacting with our customers.
Requirements
- You must be at least 21 years old and possess a minimum of 5 years of driving experience.
- You are required to hold a valid U.S. driver's license and maintain a clean driving history, which we will verify through an MVR check.
- We look for individuals who can work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this position.
- You must demonstrate a high level of technical aptitude and a willingness to master new software and operational processes.
- Experience in professional environments that prioritize safety, procedural adherence, and software testing is highly valued.
- You must be comfortable working in outdoor conditions and using a laptop inside a moving vehicle for up to 10 hours per day.
- The role requires the flexibility to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- You must be available for travel for periods of up to 2 months.
- Continued employment is contingent upon passing regular safety and performance checkpoints, as well as a criminal background check.
Preferred qualifications
- Technical proficiency with Linux and Git.
- Experience using Google Suite, Jira, and Slack for team collaboration and documentation.
- A demonstrated interest in and technical capability regarding modern automotive systems.
