What you bring
As a Senior Autonomous Navigation Engineer working on a full-time basis at our Munich office, you will play a key role in advancing the capabilities of our robotic platforms. Your work will be central to our engineering and robotics initiatives, utilizing your expertise in C++, Python, ROS, and machine learning to solve complex challenges. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Designing and optimizing sophisticated navigation, perception, and planning algorithms for our autonomous systems.
- Collaborating closely with our hardware, software, and data science teams to ensure seamless integration of autonomy features.
- Developing robust systems for sensor fusion, including LiDAR, radar, cameras, and GPS, to enhance situational awareness.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong technical foundation and a collaborative spirit. You should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field. Your technical toolkit must include proficiency in C++ and Python, along with hands-on experience using ROS. We value practical knowledge in SLAM, path planning, and machine learning techniques, as well as experience processing data from various sensors. You should be comfortable working within Agile environments and using version control tools like Git. Because we operate in an international setting, business proficiency in English is essential, and fluency in German is considered a significant advantage. The ideal candidate is an analytical problem solver who is eligible to work within the EU.
