Key outcomes
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the delivery of all company-wide accessory products, reporting directly to the Chief Engineer.
- Collaborate daily with vehicle program leadership to align on design, attribute targets, and cost management.
- Lead cross-functional teams through the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to final production.
- Represent the Office of the Chief Engineer in executive reviews, sourcing councils, and engineering change meetings.
- Mentor engineering staff on manufacturing methods to optimize product functionality, weight, and cost.
- Develop accessory concepts through rapid sketching and CAD modeling that integrate seamlessly with our vehicle platforms.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, including teams focused on vehicle dynamics, safety, durability, and styling, to ensure cohesive product delivery.
Requirements
- A Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven technical excellence and a strong background in engineering.
- Deep understanding of physics and material science, with a demonstrated ability to apply these principles to vehicle component design.
- Hands-on experience in prototype assembly, vehicle service, or vehicle assembly environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stampings, castings, and extrusions.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 or similar design software.
- Familiarity with high voltage architectures.
- Understanding of vehicle crash safety, NVH principles, and vehicle dynamics.
Compensation
The annual base pay range for this position is $188,100 to $275,880 USD. We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
