The role
We are looking for a visionary Automation Testing Manager to join our team in China on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a senior-level management role where you will lead the charge in defining and executing our testing strategy. You will collaborate closely with our engineering, product, and QA teams to enhance our testing coverage and efficiency across web, mobile, and OTT platforms. By building and maintaining robust automation frameworks, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of quality assurance for our streaming service.
Core responsibilities
- Strategy and Planning: You will develop comprehensive automation strategies tailored to our streaming architecture, ensuring that our testing processes, tools, and standards support high-quality delivery across all business requirements.
- System Development: You will lead the creation and maintenance of cross-platform automation frameworks, optimizing test cases for UI, API, and performance testing while integrating industry-leading solutions to streamline our workflows.
- Team Leadership: You will manage and mentor a talented team of automation engineers, fostering agile collaboration with cross-functional partners to identify technical risks and drive data-driven quality improvements.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a management capacity.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Deep familiarity with automation frameworks like Selenium and Appium.
- Experience with CI/CD toolchains including Jenkins and GitHub Actions, as well as version control systems like Git.
- Strong communication skills in both Chinese and English, enabling you to act as a bridge between diverse teams.
- A proactive mindset for solving complex problems and managing high-pressure project requirements.
