We are Difrent, a digital consultancy dedicated to delivering impactful solutions. We are currently growing our team and have an opening for a Mid-Level Automation Tester to work on-site in Newcastle. You will join one of our dynamic discovery projects, where we partner with a major public sector client to build and refine essential digital services.
Key outcomes
- Verify that the complete end product functions as intended by ensuring all systems and their respective interfaces align with project requirements.
- Apply your expertise in functional, API, automation, and performance testing to maintain high quality standards.
- Collaborate within a development environment to identify issues early and support the delivery of robust software.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following experience and technical skills:
- Proficiency in Python, which is essential for this position.
- At least 2 years of experience using Selenium Webdriver or similar automation tools.
- At least 2 years of experience with Django Behave or similar frameworks.
- Demonstrable knowledge of API structures, including XML and JSON, with at least 2 years of practical application.
- Experience working with Docker.
- At least 2 years of experience utilizing browser developer tools.
- At least 1 year of experience using Git for version control.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
While not mandatory, we value candidates who bring additional experience in the following areas:
- Familiarity with CI servers such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or Travis.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing standards.
- Experience with BackstopJS.
- Background in unit testing practices.
- Experience working with SharePoint.
Compensation
The salary range for this full-time position is 45,000 to 55,000 GBP per annum.
