What is this role?
We are looking for a mid-level Automation Technician to join our team in Goodyear, Arizona. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and effectiveness of our plant process control systems. You will work closely with our engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to provide daily technical support and ensure our production lines run smoothly.
What will you do?

- Inspect and adjust Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), and related hardware like VFDs and servo drives to ensure peak performance.
- Act as the primary plant liaison during new system installations and commissioning, ensuring that outside contractors deliver properly documented programs and that our staff receives thorough training.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in industrial control systems. We require an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent military training, though we will also consider candidates with at least three years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
Required skills include:
- Proven experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, specifically MicroLogix, Micro800, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix.
- Expertise in HMI or SCADA programming and configuration.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley VFDs and working with EtherNet/IP industrial networks.
- Proficiency in programming with IEC 61131-3 compliant languages, such as ladder diagrams or structured text.
- Strong communication skills in English to collaborate with team members and train end users.
We also value candidates who have experience with SQL databases, Siemens S7 PLCs, or those who have worked in the dairy and beverage industry.
What's in it for you?
Working at fairlife means joining a dynamic, innovative team where your contributions directly impact the quality and safety of our products. You will be part of a company that values professional growth and offers the chance to work on complex, large-scale automation projects.
