Automation Technical Specialist at Sunsrce

By leveraging a vast network of global suppliers, we provide complete solutions that help our customers meet demanding project timelines. We are currently searching for a Senior Automation Technical Specialist to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will take full ownership of automation projects, working closely with our sales department and clients to develop everything from basic OEM equipment controls to complex SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute PLC programming and HMI design tasks.
• Manage the integration and programming of ancillary equipment.
• Perform onsite and remote equipment start-ups, which will require up to 30% travel.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you should have a strong background in industrial automation and a history of delivering high-quality projects. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience working with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC/HMI systems.
• Practical knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and VFD technology.
• Proven ability to handle control circuit design and troubleshooting.
• A talent for interpreting technical documentation and applying it to active projects.
• Preferred: An Electrical Engineering degree, proficiency in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical, and experience with Ethernet networking, Excel, database development, or scripting languages like Java and Python.
