The opportunity
As a Senior Automation Equipment Engineer, you will serve as a cornerstone of our equipment team. Your primary mission is to ensure our wafer automation systems operate flawlessly while leading initiatives to improve our existing processes. This is a full-time, on-site role where your technical expertise will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality solar products. You will act as a bridge between departments, ensuring that our automation infrastructure is not only maintained but continuously optimized for the challenges of tomorrow.
A day in the life
- You will oversee the daily maintenance of our automation machinery, proactively addressing technical issues to ensure our operational rates remain consistently high.
- You will lead the installation of new equipment, managing relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and to our standards.
- You will drive automation improvement projects, which includes analyzing system failures, managing spare parts inventory, and preparing detailed reports for leadership.
Who you are
You bring a strong technical background and a passion for industrial efficiency. We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or electronic engineering, or a related field.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in process or logistics automation, specifically with mobile robots like AMR or AGV systems.
- You possess an electrical or mechanical license and have a proven track record of managing automation improvement projects.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office and have a sharp eye for failure analysis and project management.
- You are a clear communicator in English, and your ability to speak Korean or Chinese is considered a significant asset.
