Automation Engineer at Opendoor

We are looking for an innovative Senior Automation Engineer to join our team in India. What you'll be doing

• You will build and maintain automated, scripted solutions that help our operating teams reduce manual, repetitive tasks, ensuring we stay responsive to time-sensitive needs.
• You will work closely with our engineering team to design, evolve, and improve the tools and products that drive automation and process optimization for our listings.
• You will manage the full lifecycle of our tools, from initial ideation and prototyping through to design, production, testing, and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

• You have at least 5 years of professional experience working with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• You are comfortable using low-code or no-code platforms like Zapier to build efficient workflows.
• You possess the flexibility to learn and adapt to new technologies, including XML or internal proprietary scripting languages.
• You are a strong collaborator who communicates effectively with stakeholders across operations, engineering, and data infrastructure teams.
• You have a sharp eye for detail, a data-driven mindset, and a genuine sense of ownership over your projects.
• You are fluent in English and eager to create innovative solutions that delight our customers.
