About the Role
We are seeking an Automation Engineer II to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is a vital part of our support infrastructure, where you will own complex automations that improve how we serve our customers. You will act as a seasoned professional, applying creative problem-solving to ensure our automated solutions remain stable, secure, and highly effective. This is a remote position that requires a self-driven individual capable of managing their responsibilities independently while contributing to our broader service goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automated scripts and programs to enhance the performance, reliability, and deployment capabilities of our systems.
- Provide high-level technical support by diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to network fundamentals, DNS, SMTP, and TCP/IP.
- Coordinate the full lifecycle of automation projects, including development, testing, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance to ensure seamless service restoration for our customers.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in systems administration or a closely related field.
- Advanced technical knowledge of network fundamentals, including diagnostics using OS system tools.
- Deep understanding of DNS, SMTP, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- The ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights, weekends, or holidays, to support our 24/7 business operations.
