Automated System Test Engineer at Pure Storage

Key outcomes

• Lead system testing efforts for our FlashBlade product line.
• Own the full lifecycle of features by developing comprehensive test strategies, end-to-end workflows, and test cases based on design documentation and customer use cases.
• Scale and maintain complex test ecosystems and virtualized environments.
• Automate both new and existing manual test cases to improve efficiency.
• Manage the bug lifecycle, including documentation, reproduction, and collaboration with development teams.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate customer escalations and identify root causes.
• Serve as a dedicated advocate for the quality of our FlashBlade systems.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in system testing.
• Deep technical knowledge of flash storage, file systems, and protocols such as NFS, SMB, and S3.
• Strong proficiency in Linux and the ability to write scripts for automation.
• Expertise in building and managing virtualized environments, including ESX, KVM, or Hyper-V.
• Experience with platform quality assurance, such as qualifying cables, optics, and hardware components.
• Familiarity with application ecosystems like Veeam or NetBackup and directory services like LDAP and Active Directory.
• Ability to deploy third-party tools to simulate complex I/O workloads.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a team.
• Fluency in English.
